The biochar plant pot was an exploration to integrate a regenerative material into a concrete mix. The burned wood pellets were ground into a powder and incorporated at various quantities to replace sand in a concrete mix to arrive at a lighter and more sustainable product. I designed a plant pot, 3d printed it to create a silicon mold and used it to pour and test mortar mixes.
